I spoke will an older (75+) lady who either lives on Wallenberg Cresent or on one of streets in between actually liked the project but was worried that the city was going to take their house away to be replaced by a similar project...I think she is just a bit too paranoid however I'm sure that there are few people who are not too happy...

This is an amazing development. It all just looks great. Those towers that are in the background of those pics look nice as well. Nice designs.

That old lady in the 3rd pic wouldn't be the older woman you were talking to would she?

Nice shots btw.

Thx. That wasn't the old lady but she was definitely interested in what was going on. The lady I spoke was from a few months back. She moved here from Italy about 25 years ago and, at that time, other than the SQ1 mall not much was going on in the area. Among other things, she liked the development because it was going to open up the area which will allow her to walk through Parkside and Common park to get through to SQ1...

^ I always like talking with the older residents and hearing them talk about what an area used to look like when they were younger, and how much it's changed.

It's cool to hear she likes the site.

Actually, it was just a corn/wheat field with a small forest.

Crane! This project is freakin massive and I think its quite funny how right across the street theres just a generic crap suburb. Mississuaga is absolutely fascinating and should become an example for all generic suburbs and what they could become if just some effort and community involvment is put into action, well that and money.

anybody have an update on the later projects? From what I understood Grand Residence and Residence was part of their major plan form back in 2001. Alot of things changed since then... Is the "grand plan" still in process or has it been canned?

This project has everything. A name like "The *something* at *some place*" and a street called "The Mews"!

Awesome.
