Wuhan is built on a confluence of rivers on the Yangzte, where 3 competing, walled cities once faced off each other -Wuchang, Hangkou and Hanyang

The 3 city centres are knitted together by likely the world's largest concentration of massive bridges (world's second longest span below)

Hangkou had five small foreign concessions. I wonder if they left some European architecture there.

Yep, there's plenty. Many parts of the city resemble Shanghai - a mix of art deco, Edwardian and 'Chinese baroque' (a SE Asian style bought over by returning merchants, fusing myriad styles from 19th century Europe, ME and India)

Pic by me. Taken yesterday.

We have the Jersey City, Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn skyline all in one shot. Makes one long skyline.

Bonus shot!

Nice NYC pictures!

What's the mountain in the Vancouver picture? I would say Mount Rainier, but I know that's south of Seattle, so I can't imagine you can see it from anywhere near British Columbia.

Yes - a little more information:

Mt. Baker is just across the border in Washington and about 110 km (70 miles) south east of downtown Vancouver.

It is the northern most 'classic' volcano in the chain that includes Mt. Shasta, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker (and Mt. Garibaldi which is dormant)

Mt. Baker is 10,800 ft tall - as compared to Mt. Rainier at 14,400.

Baker is visible from many spots around Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, although in a smaller form than that compressed photo would make it seem.

There are two quite easy ridge-line routes to climb Baker. The views are amazing - all the way to the Olympic Peninsula and Vancouver Island. When its possible to stay up high over night the lights down the Valley to Vancouver, Bellingham, Nanaimo, and Victoria are stunning.

As the others have said, that's Mt Baker.

That said, you can see Rainier from the Vancouver area in good conditions.

Here is Rainier from Brunswick Mountain above Vancouver:

You can see Rainier peeking over the horizon here from the Skytrain in Burnaby:

That's pretty cool! I figured it wasn't Mount Rainier, but I knew that Mount Rainier really stuck out in the landscape in Washington, so I didn't want to completely assume.

You could see Denali from Anchorage, 135 miles/220 kilometers away as the crow flies, very easily from a couple stories up, and even from street level if you were in a place looking north over Cook Inlet.

That Vancouver panorama is stunning.

About 20 years ago I hiked up the Verdugo hills behind Glendale on one of the winter days after it rained. You could see almost all of coastal LA and Orange County, Catalina, and the Channel islands. I don't remember exactly but I am sure you could see Glendale, downtown LA, and Long Beach at the same time.
