BOISE | 12th & IDAHO | 330 FT | 27 FL

New apartment proposal just announced on boisedev.com.

If built, this would be Boise's tallest at 330 feet, or just a tad higher than the 323-foot Zion Tower about four blocks away.

Cool! I like the rooftop green space, and the ground floor looks nice. 396 parking stalls for 297 units is way too much though.

SCB is really breaking into the mountain west markets. SLC has two proposed towers designed by them right now.

Zions Bank's height includes a spire therefore this will look taller than the 7 foot difference.

Another local news outlet mentions the parking will include spaces for the general public to use while in downtown. We have parking garages downtown with dedicated spaces for residential units as well as spaces for the public to use. They all have retail at street level.

downtown parking has been an issue for awhile. glad to see this project would include space set aside for public parking, especially for the west side where there are few parking garages.

the elevations for this have it at 317 feet and 28 floors, so it added a floor but lost a few feet in height.

the project was approved by the design review committee in the spring and was given the green light to begin construction.

the developer was hoping to break ground this summer, but there's been no activity on the site yet.

no groundbreaking on this project yet.

it has been approved, but high construction costs may have the developer shave a floor. other projects, such as the ICCU tower, have been put on hold due to excessive costs.

still hoping to see a groundbreaking soon.

Is there a way to request moving this thread to the Skyscraper & Highrise Construction forum?

here's a nice aerial that Cottonwood found which shows the location, and all of the other projects underway in that vicinity.

i was on the 17th floor of the Zion building this past week and had a really good view of that property. i didn't think of taking a picture, but maybe I'll get there again when we start seeing steel rising.

Glad to see this project. I remember being excited for Zions Bank but this will clearly be taller and that rooftop looks amazing

here's the final elevation from the proposal. the developer said last night that they're starting concrete pours, and it sounds like the construction is happening quickly. should start to see steel rise this summer.

Glad to see Boise getting this tower. Off-topic, but why are the foothills near downtown so barren? It's strange to see a mountainous area with zero trees and minimal vegetation at all.
