Agreed, that's a shame. It looked like a beautiful old building.

3 Low Rise Apartments to be Reviewed by Bethlehem Planning Review

All three buildings, from everything I've read, look like a lock of being approved by the planning commission and actually being built in the near term.

Link to the article: https://www.mcall.com/news/local/bet...mhu-story.html

Link to the planning commission documents which have site plans and photos of the three properties: https://www.bethlehem-pa.gov/calenda...ON/PC-21-04-08

Da Vinci Science Center to Move to Downtown Allentown

Glad to see this 70,000sf museum in the heart of Allentown moving forward especially since it will take the place of a surface parking lot!

Williamsport -

Lycoming College is planning a mixed-use development along Basin Street, between Third and Fourth streets (here). This is the latest piece in the college's ongoing efforts to revitalize this part of the city near campus, with the support of the City, County, and regional redevelopment authority. Pine Ridge Construction Management could break ground in Fall 2021. Not bad for Williamsport -

Another two projects for City Center, Allentown are scheduled to break ground in the next year bringing the total of new apartments built by City Center Investment Corp to 1500. Love all the infill/reuse projects, but the Allentown Parking Authority continues to spend tens of millions of dollars on massive and redundant parking decks.

Good to see! But yeah, I feel like almost 1,100 parking spots is a little excessive.

Any word if the The Waterfront in Allentown has broken ground? I saw nothing in the news but a recent photo I came across seems like the first building is under way.

The first office building in the development broke ground this spring, and steel has currently topped out. The developer's website has a live cam of the site.

Nice, thank you. I am hoping this turns out nicer than with City Center has been building. Its nice to see construction downtown but most of it is pretty darn ugly. All those apartment buildings are going to age poorly.

Wow, that looks really nice! Much better than that existing parking garage.

I drove through State College this past Sunday (10/31/2021) and drove past these two buildings. I don't think they're brand new but fairly new. Impressive size though!

I am a very long time reader but only recent poster here, why isn't there a Lehigh Valley development thread? Its where I grey up and is a remarkable example of how a rust belt area and reinvent itself (granted, fantastic location but still).

Wind Creek Casino Hotel Construction

I was driving my mom for a test over at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, construction crane on top of the hotel, I know I read an article that another hotel was suppose to be built, spring 2020 before the pandemic hit.
