Is New Orleans (city and metro) still growing as much as I was in population a few years ago? I hope the metro can keep it up, attract more people and build more wealth. It's a gem of a city that has made it through hards times. I hope it keeps reaching upward.

Candidly, a huge reason for this forum's success is (a) the tireless work of Tennis, and (b) that New Orleans is the kind of place that you can never kick. A ton of people have left because of Katrina and the economy, but they can't seem to forget this city. I'm one of them.

A quick check-in of the Higgins Gate cleanup project on Westbend Pkwy in #Algiers. You can clearly see the work in progress of phase one of the $600,000 project. Can’t believe that after 15 years this blighted property will FINALLY be cleared and primed for redevelopment.
