Isn't there an affordable housing project at Damen & Lake planned hovering around high rise status? Also, is the area west of Ashland and north of Lake allowed to have residential now? If so then I'll bet that once some of the new office projects closer to Ogden are finished and have enough workers in them, we'll start to see some residential being built in that area west of Ashland/north of Lake.

No high-rises on the relatively short February 2022 plan commission.

Well, hallelujah, 311 W Huron office building lands and anchor tenant, and away it goes!

Finally some action in River North:

Anyone know what the latest is on the full-block parking lot across the street from this (I believe 300 W. Huron)?

Would this be the same lot? (from the article):

North Wells Capital is also planning a 260,000-square-foot office building at 320 W. Huron St., though that proposal would require City Council approval before it could move forward.

Whoops, yeah that should be the one – I remembered that it changed hands after the failed JFJ condo proposal but wasn't sure if we'd seen a rendering for the new plans yet.

Curbed Link. Says 301 W Huron but same render. Also has got that 'kinetic wall'.

https://chicago.curbed.com/2019/4/22...orr-architects

This is Wells St Capital's 'Phase II' of the two buildings there on Franklin. 308 W Erie was finished in 2020 I believe.

https://therealdeal.com/chicago/2019...ice-buildings/

There's actually a lot of proposed mid sizes office buildings in this part of River North and I had been wondering if any were going to get underway. Nice to see this. Still waiting for the lot at the SE corner of Franklin and Chicago that they demo'd a while back.

The February Design Committee is reviewing 170 N Green. Their presentation slides include new renderings and they're incredible: https://www.chicago.gov/content/dam/...een_020922.pdf
