It surprised me because the amenity area outside is totally unfinished. They had the landscapers working nights and weekends and just landscaped the area by the dog run and added grills as people were moving in. The pools and clubhouse area are unfinished.

The residents are wandering around exploring the construction site lol.

Is the smaller building all rentals?

I believe so yes - as is the bottom floors of the taller building. Honestly I thought people moved in over a month ago - but that may have changed..

We looked into moving there. October 1st was the first day. They told us that the Lifetime Fitness, which residents will get access to, won't be open until January.

From the train, my chief impression was how wide it is. Stout, broad. It's not a slender tower. And it sits with it's own presence against Big John, as we move south.

I was surprised that I could not see this from Roosevelt. I checked my photos.
Hancock is hard to see too, but I thought I would catch a glimpse.

Salesforce about to make its presence known as well. It will also be prominent from this angle despite it being shorter than many of us would have wanted. It's going to be bulky for a tower of it's height kinda like Chase Tower.

From Park Tower - with Salesforce lurking in the background.

The south tower will always get the majority of the love for obvious reasons, but the north tower turned out to be killer infill. Definitely ranks among the nicer new residential towers

North tower looks like Essex's slightly shorter, but still handsome brother. Indeed good infill!

I thought they were East (taller) and West (shorter) towers. Anyway, I just realized that the Diagrams page does not have a diagram of the shorter tower. Hopefully someone will upload one at some point.

The shorter tower also looks like 110 North Wacker.

Same as above, from 110 N Wacker (MVP of Downtown's OHC sites). Different time of day

Hiding amongst giants, from the Adler

From Montrose Harbor

Unfortune glare, but from the Hancock

and a bit of a presence on the skyline from Northwestern's Campus (overlapping Trump Tower, slightly to the right)

I absolutely adore this building. By far my favorite of the cycle.
