The assessed value of the Cornwall building is $79 million and lululemon bought it in 2011. Since lululemon accounts for its PP&E at cost less accumulated amortization, the carrying cost of that building is likely well below $79 million. So unless one warehouse in Columbus is carried at $25 million plus, lululemon owns other property such as the yet to be developed lot and other, smaller properties.
I think the kits location that was sold off was the 1650 West 1st location (Ellis Foster Building) unless that location was leased and not owned by them. That location however, was definitely sold as I know who the new owners are.

While I won't disclose who it is as I'm not sure if it's public info but what I can say is that they're pretty well known in the real estate industry and were on the news a while back. It's a pretty drastic move for them for where they're coming from.

That makes more sense. I forgot they had a lululemon office in that building.

LOL renting for $8k/month and the landlord still won't cover the move-in fee. Good luck!

One Burrard is completed with occupancy.
The LED feature is a non-invasive, non-threatening static amber color

The lantern at the top stays on all night.
The spine turns off a some point - maybe 10 or 11 pm?

It would have been nice if the crown was lit all the way around, as I can see it from my condo in Yaletown, but only the short east-facing side of the lantern.

PS - at night you can see the spine from the south end of the Cambie Bridge while driving north.

I have noticed Mobi (or the City) is pulling some of these stations off the roads and on to designated areas, many in new developments. This doesn't look like a good spot though.

Part of this is because some of them are new "charging stations" and need access to electricity.

What a joke! Why even bother to commission a piece of art if you're going to throw up that bike stand in front of it? It's not like there aren't plenty of Mobi stations in that area or they couldn't take space on the road.

Has anyone seen the financial stats on the Mobi program?. Does it make money, brake even or is it just a feel good eco story.

It was subsidized to set it up in 2016, but apparently doesn't get any City funding now. The company that runs it is private, so they don't appear to have public financial statements. They get sponsorship from Shaw and now BC Hyrdo, and possibly others.

For the latest roll out of 500 e-bikes and new stations, "the new e-bikes and stations are provided by VBSI at no cost to the City. The City is providing the electrical connections for the electrified stations through the rezoning and redevelopment process and the curbside electrical program." [source]

Thanks, I would think that the new e-bikes will make it successful, as I see full racks of conventional pedal pushers all the time.
Wonder how many folks know that no tax dollars are involved.
