Please don’t tell me this building is going to be ruined by yet another visible mechanic “penthouse”. If it’s not a mechanical box it’s a visible window washing crane that never retracts.

I see in od's posting where all the flying black panels where being installed last week.

This morning Ironworkers tacking on some of the last pieces (hundreds of parts) to this structure (don't know what you call it).

I don't. I don't find the boxes particularly Vancouver-esque, but that other design is way too corporate-America

Yesterday, the delivery of 3 wooden crates, containing BMU parts?
Today, roofing that steel structure with what looked like Q-decking.

Building Maintenance Unit today

Assembling the BMU and it's huge, maybe largest one in Vancouver.
The comparison to the Shangri-La is captured at the same zoom level and The Stack is also further back.

Cool! Thanks. After viewing their homepage http://gind.es/ I see the model they're installing.
I left this section out of the video thinking it was part of a staircase for rooftop access, it's part of the BMU

Start of the observation deck windows (nice clear glass).
After this is completed, it looks like time to schedule (or have already scheduled) a Top Climbing Crew for dismantling the crane.
