I think asymmetry is more interesting architecturally. For example, in a 3 tower complex like this one, I would find 56-36-20 (the hotel) story towers more interesting than 46-46-20. ARCO Plaza downtown should have been a 3 tower complex (instead of 52 story twins), maybe 58-38-28, or 58-38-Richfield Tower (preserving the art deco masterpiece). Symmetry is overrated. Wells Fargo Plaza (originally Crocker Plaza) and California Plaza projects on Bunker Hill wisely designed buildings of different heights. WF buildings are 54-44; Cal Plaza 52-42 floors. Nice step effect.
But don't get me wrong, these 2 mirror image towers are fine, because they preserved the Century Plaza hotel, a mid century modern classic. The Century City condo twins will add to the imposing view of Century City from the 405. I believe they will be 600 feet tall, edging out the theme towers across the street in height.
