Mostly behind a paywall, but here's an update out of UC Medical Center - the $221 million master plan project is underway -

Behind a paywall, but this sounds ambitious. Looking for other sources on this...

Another big medical project in the area is starting construction -

Groundbreaking for TriHealth's new heart hospital at their Bethesda North campus (in Montgomery) was held on Thursday, February 25. This is part of their $85 million-worth of expansion plans - involving a 40,000 SF additional and 80,000 SF of remodeled space to make the campus the region's destination cardiac health center. The project was made possible in part by a large donation from Harold and Eugena Thomas, who also contributed a significant amount to support the recent construction of the Comprehensive Care Center.

Here's a smaller / random one, but an interesting looking project in Deer Park (suburb NE of downtown). A virtual groundbreaking was held a few weeks back for a reimagined Deer Park Branch Library, part of the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library (CHPL) system. It is located in this strip mall -

Here are some more current / better renderings of TriHealth's new heart hospital at Bethesda North - a.k.a. the Harold & Eugenia Thomas Comprehensive Care Center. The designs celebrate biophilia - the integration of natural elements and systems in the architecture -

I appreciate seeing Cincinnati projects in this part of the forum, but how did you even find this project?? It's a reclad and interior renovation of a portion of a stripmall in an often forgotten inner suburb lol. There are much, much more interesting projects around the city than this one! Not criticizing, just thought it was funny to see this project...I grew up not too far from here and never would have thought I'd see Deer Park on SSP lol.

Haha. Yeah, it came across my LinkedIn feed randomly, because I follow that architecture firm. I like sharing the things that are often overlooked.

Here's something a little more significant, in terms of size & cost for ya (and it's also a GBBN project )

Another TriHealth project was just approved. This one is for a planned $140 million "transformation" of its Good Samaritan Hospital (aka "Good Sam" - located just north of University of Cincinnati's campus). The work will include significant upgrades throughout, including, among other things, new operating rooms, a reoriented main entrance, and an eventual new emergency department. A new 5-story building will be built on the campus to house perioperative services and some shell space for the new emergency department and other outpatient services. Several older buildings will be demolished, starting with the Hebrew Union Dormitory this spring, which TriHealth purchased a while ago. In its place, a new staff parking deck will be built -

The Macy's that anchored downtown Cincinnati's Fountain Place is at the center of a $50+ million redevelopment. The future of the iconic department store that closed in March 2017 has been discussed previously on here, but not for a long while, and I think this thread was inactive for so long, the current plans were never shared (which are now well into construction). While earlier visions included demolishing the building and constructing a new tower, ultimately, the plan that was approved involves converting the 3 1/2 story structure into a mix of 185,000 SF office space and ground floor retail. The redevelopment seeks to better connect the area around the convention center with Fountain Square. The work includes demolition and reconstruction of the existing façade, skywalk removal, and the installation of a large LED display -

In terms of central utility plants, Cincinnati Children's Hospital's new facility is simply beautiful! I take it these photos are from last year -

UC Health has shared some new renderings of their expansion plans - including a new arrival sequence / entrance + canopy and new Emergency Department. Some of these images evoke comparisons to an airport terminal in my mind -

The Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance is nearing completion at 1801 Gilbert Ave. (near the art museum in Walnut Hills). It will be the new home for the Cincinnati Ballet, which just announced that it has exceeded its record capital campaign goal by about $100,000, for a total of $30.8 million raised. Occupancy is scheduled for this June -
