This one should be topped out, or close to, now.

8/4/2022 - looks like the building is at highest point with the mechanical penthouse being built. [telephoto from my apartment]

Facade Installation Halfway For 921 Howard Street In SoMa, San Francisco

BY: ANDREW NELSON 5:30 AM ON AUGUST 15, 2022

Facade installation has reached the halfway point for 921 Howard Street, a topped-out 18-story affordable housing tower in SoMa, San Francisco. The 203-unit building is a significant high-density addition to the city, one block from Mission Street and across from the 5M development. The project is a joint venture with Curtis Development and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation.

Overall it's turning out pretty well. Nothing flashy. Just solid, affordable infill.

Best feature:

Quote:
Of the 203 units, around 46% will be dedicated to residents earning 50% AMI (Area Median Income), 43% will be for residents earning 70% AMI, and the remaining 11% will be for residents earning 120% AMI.

Looking west down Howard with 5M on the right. It already feels totally different, but can't wait to see how different it'll be once the few other nearby projects get started and, or wrap.

Move along folks! There is nothing to see here, yet.
The facing is not visible yet. Maybe in a week or two. I will not be giving updates for 3 weeks as I will be going to France next week for a pipe organ tour in western France.

09/10/2022 - It stands out from my apartment! (light bad today with lots of red from smoke from wildfires in the Sierra Nevada)
