If some media outlets make it to the meeting. I don't think the CCRA or the developer will release renderings otherwise.

Looking at how W hotel fits in the skyline, it really enhances the triangle shape as a whole with the city!

Ground Breaking

I heard from two sources that this will break ground next week. Hopefully they are reliable and it finally gets started.

Woot! I believe it. Makes sense. Developer said groundbreaking would be in September. And the developer just met with CCRA Tuesday - Lenfest probably told them when groundbreaking was.

I guess we'll be seeing some updated renderings soon. I'm surprised we already haven't seen them.

Perhaps, Summersm can email Mr. "Blenflest" for them and the package shared with CCRA.

No new details here, still says work starts this "autumn" which suggests within the next 3 months. I am sort of surprised that there is demand for 750 new rooms in CC but Im sure the lenders know more than I do. 51 floors sounds good to me though.

^^ There is a lot of really good information in that article. Now we know the tower will be 51 floors and 582 feet tall. The article mentions a lot about what the building will provide as well as the design elements.

It's also nice to know that the tower will start over the next few months, even if we don't have an exact date.

For context, the RATR is 518 feet tall. At 582 feet, it should be tall enough to assert itself through the nearby cluster of 500 footers.

From afar both RC and this will merge to create an interesting peak in the skyline.

I thought that was already known. But still there was some additional info in there about the lighting and other details. You really wont be able to see this building from the west or north, but it should make an impact looking from east and south.

You can see it from the north, someone had a google earth proposals in Philly, and it looks like you can see it from the north, but from the west you can't see is understandable.

Would Two Liberty Place block it if looking directly from the North?

May sound dumb, what building is the RATR
