Let's just hope that things speed up soon. A floor a month is a little slow.

This drone video by Frotoshi from February 11th clearly shows that they have changed the core. The whole video is worth watching, but the relevant part starts at 3:00.

Downtown Detroit is looking better than ever! So happy for that city. I lived there for 5 years; only left a little over a year ago.

Gotta get back this summer.

Look at how ridiculously stupid the webcam angle is. Been like this since March 9.

High quality! I could watch those construction doors flap open and shut all day long!

Ridiculous that a project with this much stature has such a crappy public webcam. I can only imagine / hope that the CM has a better camera angle that they manage privately, to help them monitor construction progress.

Not really sure where people expect it to be since it's not like it's an official construction cam or anything. Just an employee who works in the building across the street.

This has to be the weirdest construction we've ever seen on this website.

How do you mean? Just the construction methodologies used? Or the overall design of the buildings? Or are you referring to how long it is taking?

Combination of all 3?

The core of the tower has definitely grown more in the last two or three weeks after seemingly being stalled.
Whatever reconfiguration was required after getting to the second set back slowed visual progress for sure. Now that's done, it has noticeably grown. You can now see the core and the attached scaffolding over portions of the downtown skyline from across the river in Windsor.

Someone I follow on Mastodon reposted a photo tour of the Book Tower and included this photo of the Hudson’s site. What a perfect view. I wish Bedrock would setup a construction cam from the Book.
