Very Sad...Also considering the history of this building. It was moved shortly after it was built in order to preserve it.

Is it common to punch out the windows like this before tearing a building down? I figured they would just tear it all down once they cleared out any hazardous materials.

New rendering for 354 N Union, it looks much less ugly than earlier renderings. Although the city's skyline seems to have moved

Looks like they VE'd the glass on 354 N. Union considerably, and removed the black mullions/spandrel details, which is a bummer. Also, interesting that they moved this tower into the middle of Lake Ontario...
