Yea, the equipment sat there for 2 days, and then left. No work has happened in about a week.

It's a bit weird that they took the equipment away like they did, but no. It's clear that early site preparations have begun.

Site Prep 5/23/22

After more than a week with no work, they showed up yesterday and put plywood on the posts on the NE corner. Today they are removing the fencing on the interior workspace in the center of the lot. And they've disconnected the aerial electric lines running between the poles in the lot.

I think all the work so far had to do with the perimeter fencing.

It doesn't look like they've done anything at the site since they started.

Aren't they scheduled to close a few lanes on the surrounding streets for construction or is that not happening? Hopefully we see some action after the holiday weekend.

I thought they were twin TARDIS.
Btw, per OSHA, those two can only accommodate 80 construction workers so there could be at least that many. So OSHA dictates how many urinals and toilet seats are required at construction sites. Who knew?

^ Makes sense, actually.

What I wonder is how blasted hot it is in those in the middle of an asphalt parking lot in a sea of concrete that is downtown.

I was actually downtown this morning shopping on second street. Parked in the AMLI ramp to the south of this site. Strolled the side walk to get a view of the lot and it was oppressive at 11 am. This building probably wont help with shade in that spot so we just wait til the trees mature. Then I noticed the Conrad Residences sales center street level in the AMLI, mood soured and decided to drive back to the burbs.

Site Prep 5/28/22

A bulldozer showed up this morning and is knocking down the electric poles and scraping up the parking barricades and miscellaneous trash into piles.

Scraping up the asphalt now as well.

Sitting in that blazing hot parking lot. That's the main thing about being a construction worker I would have a problem with. More power to 'em.
