killer set gandalf!

i really don't find the south facade louvers to be all that bothersome in your first shot.

How long do you think that cement guard rail on upper wacker along the riverwalk, picture 3^, will take to weather and blend in with the rest of wacker? Looks alittle funky. Anyone got a power washer?

I really like this photo. I actually think the balconies make Vista look nicer, because without them the building would look a bit too monotonous.

Great photo. I think this shows that the secondary glass will look just fine. Very reflective. Its hard to tell from the renderings but I'm going to assume that the framing will get a lighter coating as well.

Vista is glorious. It's been really fun closely watching it's construction progress.

Hopefully there's another supertall in the area in the next 10 years... (If Alderman Reilly and the 42nd Ward allows)

I am a big fan of Chicago, and very jealous of the city and the skyline.

I agree with others here. You've got a beauty from 3 side for sure.
The views of this building from the river are stunning. Soooo good.

....
The situation with the mechanical floors, and all that on the south side, is very unfortunate. It is likely too late to hope for any changes... but I wonder if they will get pressure to do something more presentable here?

The middle tower, top part, in particular... just looks like someone forgot a step - and this was the rush fix in the cheapest way possible.

I'm not an architect, nor engineer, but I've never seen something like this before.
I almost hurts me to say, but, it really ruins that side of the building. It just.... ugh. Hopefully they can do something about it.

Agree with this for the most part. It's pretty obvious though they wanted people to only view it "up close" from near the river LOL.

I think it is still likely the south side blemishes get capped or something.

There aren't any actual louvers to be seen. It's just solid black recessed panels—hard to imagine what possible purpose those serve.

^Sweet vantage of Vista. Has any of the high roller buyers been released yet for vista? The highest penthouse I think is $20 million. I remember awhile back somebody saying Bezos dropped 15 on a duplex unless that was a joke. Msybe some big names are holding out for One chicago?

Great shots. Thanks for posting those. We stayed at tue Drake last week with a lake view and saw the spot shining onto the lake from above. It was very cool.

Thanks for the update Zolk.

Can't wait to return to Chicago after new years

The blow-thru floor is looking good... did they paint it?
