Maybe it's just a February thing? how did they do last March?

Sad huh, Jets are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games and only around .500 since the xmas break, sad all around for a team that was/is supposedly a contender for Lord Stanley's mug.

With St. Louis surging and only 4 points behind the Jets and Calgary, San Jose and the re-armed Golden Knights all already in play off mode, doesn't look like the Jets will come anywhere close to making it out of the West!

They traded for one player because they like his “leadership” abilities but he won’t be playing. They traded for a defenseman who was a scratch in Buffalo and put him on their top pairing. Something is very odd about management/coaching these days. I try to be positive but ...

11-3-1 and if you include the four games in April 15-3-1.

Well let see if they can capture that magic again. It will me tough with Buf and Morissey out but if we can have a respectable march/April then we will be in a good position come playoff time when Morissey comes back.

Pretty nuts huh, says a lot about the lack of internal leadership on the Jets roster when a marginal 38 year old non player has to come back to provide leadership!

About the only positive out of Jetville lately is the reemergence of Laines scoring!

Still can't believe the Jets lost with 90 seconds to go and a 2-1 lead, tie game and Maurice decides to put Roslovic and Connor out in a defensive role at the end of the game (with rested defensive forwards Copp, Tanev and Lowry on the bench), something neither is known for....real smart coaching from our career .500 coach!

Bealieau was top pairing with Trouba to shelter him. Put worst with best to even it out. He'll be a press box depth guy once injuries are back.

Hendricks signing is strange, for sure. If they were lacking leadership, than fine whatever. It's not really costing them much, they'd have guys in the press box anyways.

For all the troubles Winnipeg is having now, there is only 1 team in the league that hasn't had these types of issues. Tampa Bay. Every other team has gone or is going through the same ting. Which si some sort of saving grace here.

So since January the Jets have been a .500 hockey team. With all the talent, it doesn’t seem to make much sense. Hope we’re not developing Oiler disease.

I'm still holding out hope for the playoffs. They're really missing Buff and Morrissey back there.

I absolutely understand all of the worry and cynicism regarding the Jets this season, but isn't it funny how far we have come from just wanting to make the playoffs.

We are a first place team, most of the season, and we have all basically written off this year already.

....i feel it too. Imagine being Edmonton.

^ I've been on that side all year. Still in first haha Laine will be fine.

I really still feel like they have no interest some nights. Other nights they look real good, but blow it.

The team itself doesn't lack confidence... you listen to Wheeler, or Maurice, there are no ruffled feathers at all. And the fact that they have been there and done that provides some level of reassurance... and as Biff alluded, the fact that they aren't in a playoff chase by virtue of their position means that it's not as big a deal if they lay an egg.

You do have to wonder about Helle though, that's what, 2 games in the last couple of weeks that were blown in the dying seconds?

They beat the Bruins which is amazing. The issue seems to be consistency.

Funny video of “Arthur Preston”, aka Jack Roslovic going down to play hockey at the Forks.

Yes Helle appears to have reverted to his form prior to last season's Vezina quality performance. I'm not sure if part of it is because his defence isn't playing as well in front of him or blocking as many shots as they did last year. I'd like to feel like he will turn it around for the playoffs, but my gut tells me that the Jets will only go deep into the playoffs this year if Brossoit has one of those Cinderella playoff performances that you occasionally see from backups.

Jets looked really tired last night. Even connor was dumping pucks in and not chasing.

Perhaps going to Finland in the year they were picked to win the cup was not the smartest move. 10 games in 16 nights to finish the season is rough. And had they had a normal schedule, who knows, we could easily finish first in the west and draw Arizona first round, and probably breeze through at least the first round like Vegas did last year.
