Mesmo com Olimpíada, hotéis do DF estimam queda em reservas de agosto



Taxa estimada de ocupação é de 36% contra 56,3% agosto de 2015 Setor culpa crise no país; GDF reconhece restrição no orçamento.

Mesmo com jogos da Olimpíada no Distrito Federal, entre esta quinta (4) e o próximo dia 13, a previsão dos hotéis é de que fiquem mais vazios durante o mês de agosto em comparação com o ano passado. De acordo com a associação Associação Brasileira da Indústria de Hotéis do DF, a taxa de ocupação estimada para este mês é de 36%, contra os 56,3% de 2015. Neste mês, serão disputados dez jogos de futebol (confira lista ao final desta reportagem).

Os próximos cinco meses de 2016 devem ser de “vacas magras”, diz o vice-presidente da entidade, Henrique Severien.O principal motivo apontado por ele é a crise econômica e política vivida no Brasil.

“A gente está passando por uma situação que gera uma crise de identidade no país”, afirmou. A falta de investimentos em promoção do setor e o cancelamento de eventos importantes como Moto GP e Fórmula Indy também têm impacto no resultado fraco da rede hoteleira.

“Assim que acabou a Copa do Mundo, em julho de 2014, começou a ter uma queda de ocupação gigantesca. Isso também reduziu as diárias. A gente também começou a construir um monte de hotel, o que criou uma superoferta. Então há mais oferta do que demanda”, explicou Severien.

Segundo ele, o perfil da cidade mudou. “Antes terça, quarta e quinta, não tinha hotel pra ninguém. Hoje, é difícil encontrar um hotel com 100% de lotação. Não tenho registro disso ter acontecido neste ano. Isso acontecia até 2014”, afirmou.

Ao G1, o secretário-adjunto de Turismo, Jaime Recena, disse que o governo trabalha para que os números se revertam. “O assunto Olimpíada está ganhando mais espaço na mídia, a partir da própria imprensa. A gente começa a perceber um aquecimento maior em relação à procura. As vendas têm aumentado muito nos últimos dias”, afirmou.

Recena também atribuiu a situação à crise econômica vivida, que restringiu o orçamento de pastas do GDF. “É sabido por todos que houve cortes. O recurso para investimentos é menor do que em épocas anteriores. A maioria dos gastos é com folha de pessoal”, disse.

Questionado, ele não soube informar o orçamento e o nível de investimento da pasta, que passou por duas junções recentes. Antes, a Secretaria de Turismo era ligada à Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Econômico; agora, está anexada ao Esporte.

Para evitar prejuízo, o hotel San Marco teve de se adaptar à nova realidade: intensificou a abordagem de clientes em potencial, como funcionários de embaixadas e empresas de eventos. “Nosso departamento de marketing nem era efetivo, mas agora são muitas ligações em todos os sentidos”, contou a gerente Maria de Jesus Pontes.

Mesmo sem demitir nenhum dos 156 funcionários recentemente, o estabelecimento teve de cobrar mais barato. “A diária caiu mais de 50%. Antes a gente vendia por R$ 500. Hoje sai por R$ 200”, relatou a gerente.

De acordo com a Associação Brasileira da Indústria de Hotéis, os hotéis do DF demitiram pelo menos 25% dos quadros desde o começo do ano. Nesse período, a diária média caiu de R$ 389 para R$ 201. O DF conta com cerca de 80 estabelecimentos hoteleiros.

Novas tecnologias

Enquanto o Uber é encarado como “ameaça” para taxistas, os hotéis do DF dizem não se sentir intimidados por formas alternativas de hospedagem, como o Airbnb. Eles permitem uma pessoa comum alugar a própria casa para desconhecidos por pouco tempo. “Nos números, é irrelevante que não chega a comprometer”, disse Henrique Severien.

Mizifi nem sempre é culpa do GDF, tem coisas que os carteis criam problemas. Eu aqui a décadas batendo na tecla do overbooking hoteleiro. Inventam que estão cheios para cobrar tarifas exorbitantes.

Eu ia me esquecendo, ambos hotéis Ibis Núcleo Bandeirante e Ibis Valparaiso de Goiás terão lançamentos simultâneo, pois pertence a mesma pessoa jurídica.
