^Not as tall, but appears to integrate much better with the neighborhood. Although I liked it, the last iteration resembled the Rollins building on Concord Pike plopped down in old city.

Whats funny about that building is Mr.Rawlins constructed that building to bring Wilmington Northbound. Imagine that. the city of Wilmington would have doubled in size.

History is funny sometimes.

What do you mean - there are about a dozen 20’ tall steel beams popping out over ground level? I’ve passed this a few times - it’s definitely on the move.

Eakins Oval Plan:
http://www.mayorsfundphila.org/wp-co...-Materials.pdf

Anyone involved with this project should be put on the yoke in the middle of Logan Circle and publicly shamed.

I know nothing about traffic and road design but this is terrible. This would honestly make the whole area less pedestrian friendly and more impossible to drive/walk. Get rid of the outer lanes of the parkway and make MLK mass transit only. Expand Spring garden tunnel to more than 1 lane.

I'm not a civil engineer, but if I read this correctly, is someone proposing this as the new alignment for the oval?

EDIT: deleted the image since it's a dup to the post above. Not only would it be a terror as a pedestrian, but I would imagine it would be pretty stressful navigating in a car.

Not just someone, the mayor.

I don't know, add a couple dozen left turn lanes, some more asphalt for parking, and some highway walls and we might be on to something here.

One significant factor is it seems to eliminate any roadway between the "oval" and the museum steps... hard to picture how this would actually look...
