FWIW, I now think that all the formwork and rebar being installed in the floor plate on the Walnut Street side of the core is simply load-transferring beams, transferring the load-bearing from the Walnut Street wall columns in the lower half of the tower to the columns to be constructed in the stepped-back Walnut Street wall for the upper half of the tower. For those fellow amateur engineers who also speculate about these things.
But if someone knows differently, please speak up.
