SHANGHAI | Plaza 66 phase 2 | 787 FT / 240 M | 45 FLOORS

This is the second phase to the Plaza 66 complex. It's just off Shimen station in Puxi. It will be a 240m office tower. I don't have a rendering of the final design. Anyone?

I wonder which rendering will be the final one. I like the the second diagram best. The curve up top is interesting.

^Although the skeleton has become "fuller" in the past months--I'm wondering if construction has resumed (?)

Check this out, Anton and avcellvs. I was in the Jing An district tonight when I noticed something weird with Donghai Plaza. Six panes of glass have been installed at around the 25th and 26th floor. Behind these windows were lights and what looked like furnishings. I've never seen anything like it. Further evidence that this tower may be back on track was welding at the very top of the crown. Sparks were flying.

Here is a photo I took. If you look carefully you can see some sparks up top.

Work has started on the crown. I'm pretty sure now that the final product will look like the second and third rendering avcellvs posted.

The crown is beginning already? Is it still 240 m or has its height been reduced?

It looks about right. It was listed as 45 stories way back when and it was at the 41st floor back in late December. The crown on this thing is huge too. It will probably add another 65 feet or so. My friend has a perfect view of Plaza 66 phase 1 + 2 side by side. I should take a picture next time I'm there for comparison's sake.
Just a FYI: Plaza 66 is 951ft and phase 2 is pegged at 792ft.

Here is a side by side comparison of the two towers. Phase one stands at 951ft/288m.
Phase two still has a bit of constuction left at the top. It look to be around 60m shorter than phase 1 at this point, so I don't think the height was reduced.
