At the very least, when they get that final approval, we’ll get the building diagram from the DOB. The DOB seems to have been backed up, but the issue is currently before them. They could have released a rendering by now anyway.

Any chance they never release a rendering? They aren't selling anything after all, I don't think. Is there any retail in the base?

There's supposed to be a Chase branch on site, (there is required retail on Madison). That was moved to the south side I think. But renderings are required on construction sites. They went for a long time at CPT without one, and I don't even remember seeing one there. But technically, as of right now they're only building up to the third floor, so that could be a loophole. Full building permit will come when the plaza is approved, and that could be soon.

Construction Fence Signage Requirements

The new project information panel standardizes the appearance of temporary protective structures and provides important information to the community in a consolidated, uniform sign. Any new building, demolition, excavation and alteration project sites with a construction fence, as required by Building Code § 3301.9.1, must post a project information panel.

The panel design includes a project rendering, elevation drawing of building or zoning diagram of building exterior, a description of the project and anticipated completion date, owner and contractor information, 311 information and the primary Department of Buildings permit.

Demolition sites require a project information panel without a rendering. In addition, one-, two and three-family home projects are not required to post this new information panel.

But if we get a rendering next week, other than the diagrams that we have, I'll be really happy, because I'm expecting we'll get the Grand Hyatt rendering next week.

It’s a rare time when you can see pieces of both the old and new structure that will replace it at the same time...

A song for 270 Park:

Tonight's the night were gonna make this tower happen
Tonight we'll put all other smaller projects aside
Give in this time and show me some rebar
We're goin for those spires in the night
I want to love you
See you
And crap myself when complete
I want to see you
Please you
I just can't get enough
And if you move real slow
I'll call Jamie Dimon!

I'm so excited
And I just can't hide it
I'm about to loose control and I think I like it
I'm so excited
And I just can't hide it
And I know
I know
I know
I know
I know

Very nice. Now if somebody could just sing it to them, maybe they’ll give us a rendering. I’d be happy with just one, (for now).

A representation of what we've seen so far of the tabletop columns...

I believe it’s 1,388 ft, but a zoning diagram will clear it up once and for all.

This project and the Grand Hyatt tower (Project Commodore) are my two favorite skyscraper developments in the city right now. Similar in scope enough that I sometimes get them mixed up. But I lover the way they are tied into the core of the city.

Seems this platform reaches higher than the initial 60 ft.

I'm sure the design has been more refined since this early drawing, but the basic principles are the same, each grid will drop off until the final grid reaches the top.

There is no doubt , this building is site to rise .
Definitely is an under construction building.
My view is coming from this last picture of the site.
