This is an important aspect. Unlike most rail extension plans, the line doesn't originate out of the core. You need to take the El to its western terminus and then change trains. I find that most people will endure a longer, slower single seat bus ride over a rail option that may require transfers.
Based in schedules, the bus trip from 13th and Market to KOP Transit Center is scheduled to take anywhere from about 45 minutes to 65 minutes – one seat ride with minimal stops.
The rail trip from 13th and Market would take 15 minutes to 69 Street, change trains and then another 30 minutes to Norristown. Unless you live in West Philadelphia or Delco, it’s not a silver bullet.
