I suspect the lower of the two numbers is correct. The elevations with the 843' number appears to be a clipping from the Planned Development submission. Since heights provided on these are legally binding maximums that require a decent amount of work to amend if exceeded, these have shown in the past to overshoot on dimensions like height to give the project a little wiggle room as the final building is ironed out.
The detailing and window patterns on the diagram with the 843' height is also slightly out of date with what has actually been built.

This has turned out pretty good. It's not fantastic, tell-all-your-friends architecture. It's just a good addition to the city. I like the height, the profile, the little details, and I think the crown looks great now that we can see it. As far as a mechanical penthouse goes, it's a clever concept. This has not been worth all the groaning that was going on when it was it first proposed.
Now the sooner that the Tribune Tower and 400 N Lake Shore Drive can get built, the better.
I was referring to the condos. I visited their sales center last year and they don't offer customization options for the residences. 4 East Elm, Vista, Belgravia's development in River North, Superior House, 1550 on the Park, the Hayden -- they all offer material options for buyers.
