BAM! update

Love that mall with the "I divided by zero"-effect

What's the situation for new projects like in FfM? Is is as hard it as one would think from the global financial woes?

Not really...
OpernTurm (170m) and PalaisQuartierTowers (135m+100m) are almost finished, the new T185 (204m) construction will start soon (the basement is finished), soon we will get new information about Kaiserkarree/TanusTurm (160m) and the construction will start this end of the year. Furthermore we can hope for more concrete informations about BahnTower (200m+) and the third highrise of the DZ Bank (170m[+?]).

Frankfurt booms in spite of global economics crisis.

Don't forget the Grand Hyatt Tower (160m) and the ECB (185m) which will hopefully be under construction within the next year.

Well, it seems that the Bahntower has become quite unlikely.
Newspapers reported yesterday that the Bahn is going to sign a contract for the former Dresdner Bank Silvertower.
The Dresdner Bank has been taken over recently by the Commerzbank.

First cranes are up on the T185 site. There is another one just to the left of this picture and on the right side you can see that they are busy erecting the third crane.

Vivico have released renderings of the Grand Hyatt Tower, which will be built close to Tower185.
It won't become 160m tall but only 113m.
Here are two renderings:

Is it a proposal or will it be built for sure?

It's going to be build for sure, together with the a shopping center "skyline plaza".

The pics shown here are the winning concept design and have been presented today, but will be revised a bit.
All concept designs in the competition can be found here.

Grand Hyatt has already signed the contract for the tower.
