Just doing some housekeeping on Toronto's behalf by adding old but active proposals that no one ever got around to. Thanks to UrbanToronto for the info and pics.

Canada House is the final stage of Concord Cityplace, the hideously uninspired development in western downtown that has been under construction for roughly 15 years. This final stage was initially going to be one tower named "Signature Tower". It evolved into two towers. While the design is far from revolutionary, and has been met almost exclusively with derision 'round these parts, I actually like it. At least it's an improvement on the rest of ShittyPlace.

This project has had it's construction staging application approved as of the TEYCC meeting two days ago...it looks like a nice barrier so far along Spadina (no photos)

Both the Vancouver and Toronto City Place developments are as uninspired as their names would suggest however they do give the skylines a certain Canadian futuristic high-rise banality that obviously translates well into Sci-Fi Film & TV projects that shoot so commonly in both places. Sorta like the skyscraper equivalent of IKEA. Clean, bland, vaguely modern and yet usually missing something special... #SKYIKEA
