The LBJ in Chatham is way past it's prime. It and places like the Golden Hawk on the old CFB Chatham base are costing a fortune to maintain.
So will this rink be on the Chaham side?

CCD canada shows an energy project at or near Bathurst, ABO winds & Community windfarms. Neither website shows a project near Bathurst but its presence there must mean something.

From the Port of Belledune's CEO

Today, in the presence of New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs, the Belledune Port Authority signed a memorandum of agreement (MOU) with the Port of Rotterdam 🇳🇱 for the import of hydrogen from the Canadian province as early as 2027.

This strategic agreement is one of three MOUs BPA has signed with European ports in the past year and represents yet another significant milestone on our journey to seeing Canada’s first-ever Green Energy Hub spring to life, right in northern NB!

That and that wood pellets is becoming more and more important for the port, there is now 3 large sheds that gather pellets from all northern NB and Gaspe coast to be shipped overseas. You would never guess that the port lost a big client in the smelter. If everything goes well, good this are to come.

Interesting news, the name of Princess Auto has surfaced as snooping around the new Vanier development, according to the Pabineau First Nation chief in an interview to the Northern light. That would be an awesome catch for Bathurst!!

Speaking to a source at the vanier plaza. It looks like A&W has completely back away from the project. Apparently the site isn't being built to suite the restaurant chain. Seems like both parties can not come to a agreement.

Large swath of Land sold off main st in Bathurst, by the water. Don’t know if the crane Emoji on the Colliers post is hinting to a development project. Pretty sure there will be a condition to accommodate the walking trail if its a new development.

I’m sure A&W would like to see a stand Alone restaurant on st-anne or st-peters, maybe they could not convince them to come to their location yet. Vanier is gonna become busier as the year goes and the site develops.

It was purchased by Dowtown business development corporation. As I suspected to maintain the Waterfront as park and possible future development.

Indeed from what I gather. The Plaza ownership isn't building to suit, which I would suspect needs a facade change and drive thru. I think nobody is going to bite on that franchise in the near future at this point.

I hope it goes to fruition. Amonia is used to liquefy hydrogen for easier and safer transport. It would be a facility built near the port of Belledune. The port just got some money for the planning phase. It is still really still a dream at this point but they are putting money forward to see what they need to make it happen.
