Cycle by the spot on Elston often, so underutilized.

There's the dealership, popup spot, and dodgy bar, but that's about it. A bit up a road though, I'm so glad the Salt Shed is open for some live music. Pumped to see how the indoor portion turned out. Plus they push for biking there and have lots of secured parking (F cars).

This is Elston in a nutshell. It's very much the 'where the hell am I' street on the north side.

Anyone know if the crown to Onni Fulton Market is glass or cladding? If it's glass that could be a pretty impressive crown they could light up at night. This article says glass but the pictures don't look like it. Not sure if it's OK to post these articles on here. Let me know its a no-no.

One good thing is that the land by the river at Elston by the new construction is set to become a park. The river frontage is owned by the city : https://www.chicago.gov/content/dam/...d_Overlook.pdf

That would be great! Also beautiful skyline views from there.

Looks like the SW corner of Fulton & Racine will be demolished soon. For those who don't remember the project planned for this site...

Love this. And this view basically didn't exist last Christmas season.

I guess I didn't realize that Revel Fulton Market was closed and now getting demolished. I went to a lot of Marwen and Eisenberg events there. Really cool space.

I know I can't believe it. My company had its last grandiose company party there in early 2020 before covid sent us all home. Seems so long ago now.

Just drove by. Looks like they are finishing up the removal of the foundation right now. I also might've missed it but I don't recall seeing new construction permits yet either.
