Oooof. I could not stand the look of that sparse riverfront skyline view in the early '10s. reminded me of one of those fake towns with wooden board facades.

This development isnt so much about the tower and more about the street level paseo creating a gateway for the rainey street alley. The possibilities of expanding something cool and unique in the city will be framed with this project.

Yes, that's an awesome feature. It will be interesting to see what that does for the area.

Excavators inside the fenced off area and plenty of utility work on Holly street where it meets East Ave.

Also not directly related to this project but site adjacent, the leaning house of Rainey is no more.

Recent FAA filings have the highest point on the building as 507'. So we may have another 500 footer. The site plan has been struggling with getting city approval for almost a year. So no telling when we may see the final elevations.

EDIT: The FAA filing for highest point was lowered to 500'.

So, is this another 500'er? Or still 488'?

Take your pick. Do you want to go by the most recent elevations or the highest point of the building per the latest FAA filings?

Since the site plan is not approved, I hope we get updated elevations that will settle the height issue.

This should finally be starting. The site plan was approved and released yesterday. The final elevations are not yet available.

It’ll be interesting to see how quickly it can actually start. They have a lot of Cambria construction material on the site.

The elevations were released. I get 499', and it's still 42 occupied floors.

Maybe it's not translating in the black and white elevations but it looks like this might have gone through another rework/value engineering for the parking podium? It looks like there's a cutout of sorts above the lobby entrance, but no longer any brickwork elements that extend down from the tower portion and up from the retail.

Could be. There are no renderings yet of the final product.

OK...I see that "Level 01 Ground" is at an elevation of 452.45' AMSL. The lowest point of entry on the tower seems to be near the southwest corner at an elevation of roughly 451' AMSL (lowest corner of the tower is 450.60' AMSL at the southwest corner. So, if this is correct, the building is actually 498'7" + roughly 1'6" = 500'1" from the lowest point of entry to the tip.

A true 500'er!

Yes, I think we can declare this to be a 500 footer. Here is the area in question:

The fourth version of this project still looks OK.

Yeah, it is OK. Another one hit by the VE train.

At this rate....

From a density perspective, our skyline by 2030 will be massive.

From a design perspective it will be homogenous
