Since the original photos in this resurrected thread are almost 2 years old, here are some new photos and updated skyline shots.

I didn't get to check out Piedmont Park when I was there. Hope I can do that next time. Looks like some soul found a way to mess up the skyline behind the parks' lake (the much closer glass building with white stripe).

Absolutely stunning photos ... Atlanta is amazing. It has been since 1982 when I was there last so I know I would not even recognize it in person today. But I see the beautiful skyscrapers in photos and can just see the energy and spirit of the city in its spectacular skylines. Midtown is awesome as is Downtown.

Very good work indeed!

mSeattle: That's just a coincidental glare. That building is absolutely stunning. It is part of the 12th and Midtown development which includes the Lowes Atlanta hotel and condos and the 1010 Peachtree condos across the street that were featured in one of those awesome photos. The office building has a well lit crown, striking glass, and a lobby with wood panels adorning marble and a huge moving LED screen that displays trippy light schemes at night. CB2, RiRa, Ra, and some other high profule retailers/restaurants are in the bases of the buildings.

Developers were a joint partnership between Selig Enterprises and Daniel Corporation. 1075 Peachtree (the office building with the white stripe) has already already a ton of attention for leases. Fisher & Phillips are moving their national headquarters there and PWC is looking to move there from its current location. If the timing were just a year or two later, I bet that 1075 could have become the new world HQ for Alston & Bird, a top 50 law firm scouting for space (its lease is up in 2013 and it is split between staying and building a new 400,000-500,000 SF tower).

Aside from that: Great photos!!! Piedmont Park is the best park in the South and certainly has some of the best views.
