it's not the pinnacle of urbanity, but once it's fully built-out and landscaped i think it's going to look really good. (the landscaping is a core component of the development, which is overall more conceptual than straightforward rectilinear urbanity, for better or worse.) the development also involves a larger apartment building at the end of the block, but the (modern) design is still in flux.

Rehabs are heating up on the near north side:

This is in the Academy/Sherman Park neighborhood. Last I read, the total cost for this rehab will approach $700K, which is insane for the north side.







Clarification: he meant burned down prior to rehab, not after.

I really approve of this. Tucker is a ridiculous corridor that needs to be narrowed & slowed, along with several other downtown streets, such as Broadway.
