I wonder if the Fort Garry will ever bring back a proper dining room... I'm not sure when it closed (probably sometime in the 70s or 80s?) but it would be a nice touch for a hotel like that.
The Marlborough doesn’t need a comedy club to be a joke!

Having yourself try comedy as a career would, in my opinion, be a reasonable proposition.

Hey why doesn't Sabino explore some business partnerships with the Buhlers, Richardsons, Moffats, Chipmans, Aspers of the world? I'm sure if he offered, they would listen, right?

I’m envisioning a Chipman partnership where dancing girls become a regular fixture at Jets games lol

Buy a Jets Dog, get a free lap dance in the back.

The person opening the restaurant may not own the building.

Story about Thunderbird restaurants ongoing attempts to stop the starbucks from getting built on mcphillips. A little confused as to why the city hasn't approved it since the courts already ruled thunderbird had no legal rights to use the lot.

Thunderbird has been for sale for 5+ years, I see it continuously on business for sale sites.

Nah it's just in certain locations where the hoity toities don't want a drive thru.

I also don't get what the complaint is. There is space all around the building for delivery trucks to pull in. They have some parking out front as well.

Is Thunderbird any good? I drive by there all the time and say to myself, next time I will stop and try it. I never have. I never see anyone go in there either.

Does anyone know whats being built in front of the garden city mall on Leila? Haven't been over there in a while but last time I was there I noticed what ever it is they're building has a drive through window.

Pretty sweet lineup for Raw:

I’m really happy to see that it’s back. I hope people support it. I’ve eaten at Kissa Tanto and St. Lawrence in Vancouver. If anyone is planning on going, I’d try to go to one of those nights.

I've never been, I haven't heard anything good and it has pretty mediocre reviews online. Also drive by there all the time and never see it busy at all. Makes all the complaints about losing his free parking next door pretty nonsensical.

Five Guys is going by GC according to what a couple off different people have told me.

Bolded= nailed it. The Thunderbird is basically just a blight on the corner of Jefferson and McPhillips, shocking that its still a business!

Didn't the mall out on Portage in Westwood do the same thing with D'Jays restaurant, basically cutting them off from parking spaces with a fence of boulders years ago?

Pizza Express and Submarine is coming back to Winnipeg with a store opening at 3116 Roblin Blvd early 2023. They previously had locations on Portage (@ Thompson Drive) and St Mary's (@Dakota). The new Winnipeg store will include dine-in. They still have a location in Brandon. From the sounds of it, they could be more announcements to come for Brandon (dine in restaurant? ) and Winnipeg (more locations ?)
