By Laura Hancock, cleveland.com

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that a state permit to construct the first freshwater, offshore wind turbine facility in North America was appropriately granted for the Icebreaker project in Lake Erie.

The Icebreaker project proposes to build six turbines eight to 10 miles off the Lake Erie coast, near Cleveland. The demonstration project would generate 20.7 megawatts of electricity, with a potential to expand if successful.

cleveland's large mass timber building market square intro is opened up -- and per this crain's podcast with the developer phase two is in the works and will be a significant structure --

Earlier in October, Ohio City welcomed a new restaurant with the opening of Jaja, which is housed in the residential/commercial Intro Cleveland building. Dan Whalen, president of project developer Harbor Bay Hospitality, joined The Landscape to talk about Jaja's eclectic menu, which merges Argentinian and Mediterranean influences, and what it took to build Intro, which is Cleveland's first mass timber project.

Plans revealed for big Tremont site

By Ken Prendergast / November 8, 2022

Perhaps the largest never-developed piece of land on Cleveland’s near-west side now has a plan for developing it.

Tomorrow, a neighborhood-level committee of the City Planning Commission will see and hear a presentation by a development team led by Knez Homes and Property Advisors Group to construct 129 housing units on a 3.65-acre plot of Tremont land Knez acquired last February, a story first reported by NEOtrans.
