Indeed. I wan't to see him shift up to 1000. Some more 800 footers in Toronto would do the trick. Just don't see any on the residential side in the near future. Office is unpredictable. There's so few of us still interested in building compilations and comparisons.

800 feet = 244 metres

Not sure which ones are in your head re: 800 feet (244 metres), other than those under construction, but here’s some thoughts on 14 “maybes” @ 244m+ (800+ feet lol) - office and mixed-use stuff in the pipeline:

Union Park is approved
262m was announced this spring as Phase 1
303m Phase 2

Union Centre is approved @ 298m
(in January Allied paid $15 million for air rights directly south of this, over the train shed… one wonders if this in part relates to Union Centre?)

11 Bay @ 270m has on-going rumours of a possible anchor tenant (Quadreal and Amazon are dancing together in other cities).

I think Dream’s 212 King West @ 312m has a shot of starting in next few of years (they Dream big and deliver)

Sugar Wharf Phase 2 - started site demolition so the next 5-7 years could yield 2 or even all 3 of these below:
299m
290m
260m

Chelsea Green @ 284m (resubmission in May, lobbying in August some suggest could be moving ahead)

After 21 years of reinventions, the V-E'd Cumberland Terrace filed an SPA last month, tallest @ 254m

Maybe see One Yonge Phase 3 @ 263m in sales next year

Note: I could see an approval fast-track moving to a start for the Rogers' 95 Bloor East @ 272m within 3 years ;-)

Maybe one or more of these on Yonge:
2 Carlton @ 251m (betting on some start news next year)
475 Yonge @ 245m
399 Yonge @ 252m

Your thoughts welcome...

Not a cloud in the sky but it’s pouring again. And yes, I know I’m repeating the joke but this One has been the butt of hundreds of jokes… it’s payback time.

Wondering how long it'll be until it will start peeking out for views from North and East. Shouldn't be much longer at the pace they're moving.

Benito

The tower will be rising to the left of its crane, seen pointing skyward... eventually covering part of One Bloor East from this angle.

Benito

Wild, dystopian shot (likely yesterday’s rain clouds).

Rebar going down fast on the next floor yesterday morning for a possible pour today. That would 8 days floor to floor turnaround. Great stuff.

Prepping for the first super-column cladding … yay.

EDITED TO ADD:

Floor to floor in 8 days (again). Great stuff. Gorgeous cloud free sky today... just like the last pour (I'll avoid repeating my "it's not raining but it's pouring joke"... oops.)

It's really starting to take shape now. At 1 floor every 8 days we could see 10 more floors before the Christmas break assuming no supply chain issues occur or weather doesn't hamper things.

SkyTower’s podium rising on the right, and a portion of the Phase 1 podium rooftop amenity space taking shape left of centre.

Phase 1 still working on balcony glass replacement.

CIBC Square 2 u/c with Sugar Wharf x 2 u/c behind. The (eventual) taller tower has caught up to its shorter sibling, which has topped out @ 64s (+ mechanical levels?).

160 Front West is really exceeding my expectations. Hope to see more high quality office projects like this!

The 160 Front trim looks good from the cell phone shot. Otherwise, I still think it would have looked cooler to have the corners mitred glass.

There's a building I think in South Korea with this.

Forming up the next walls and super-columns.

Overdue to remind us what’s on delivery… a little pic (applied for 9 storeys taller than this image below... would likely reach beyond the top of the rendering ;-):

Most if not all that "staging area" over the tracks will be a tower soon enough.
