Edgewater Property Owner Proposes 28-Story Residential High Rise

The new owner of a property in Edgewater is proposing to build a residential tower.

Union Excalibur, LLC has submitted plans to build a 28-story, 293-foot residential tower at 522 and 526 NE 34th Street. The company purchased the 16,500-square-foot site at the edge of the Bay Point condo parking lot for $3.6 million earlier this year.

The entity that is proposing the project is controlled by Andres Goldenberg and Alejandro Eskenazi, who are said to be from Argentina. A mailing address listed on the application is shared with a legal services provider operating out of 1400 Biscayne. Goldenberg lists an email address at thespider-investments.com domain, which also hosts a partially built website with an unclear business purpose.

If built, the tower will include 56 units and 99 parking spaces.

Behar Font is the project architect.

Spider’s 28-Story Spark Gets Green Light From UDRB, Sales To Begin Soon

Quote:
Miami’s UDRB recommended approval last week for ‘Spark,’ a new 28-story condo tower in Edgewater.

Sales will soon launch for the 56-unit project designed by architect Behar & Font. ‘Latin Americans, New Yorkers, Brazilians’ will be targeted, developer Andres Goldenberg told TRD. Pricing has not been revealed.

Condo units will range in size from 955 square feet to 1,800 square feet. Two three-story penthouses will be sized from 3,895 square feet to 3,925 square feet. Each unit will have a balcony.

Spider Ventures, which is behind the project, is led by Goldenberg and Alejandro Eskenazi. In addition to the project, their company provides accounting, legal, and brokerage services. They claim to have South American backers.

The developer paid $3.55 million for the land last year.

The red mosaic is a welcome change over the weird hippie coral design, but man, that plain, undulating white concrete is horrible.

This is terrible even by Miami's low, limbo champion standards.

Interesting designs but why are they so short since both are east of Biscayne Blvd. and could easily double their height?

These could easily be towers over 600 ft. +.
