Pretty amazing that thiS economIc growth pattern has beeN going for nearly a decade and has allowed this CyclE to be extra long. As of late, I keep expecting some sort of slowdown to put the kibosh on some of these latest prOjects, But Alas things just keep on huMming, it's reAlly remarkable.

Since the great "B"loomberg.

Up there as one of the greatest NYC mayors it has ever had. Fiorello Laguardia as well, but in modern times, Bloomberg, and Giuliani (When he was normal, before he stopped taking his Lithium).

The boom continues, and may it continue.

So don't jinx it lol.

So far, only the core has risen. But it's a large core, and it's giving the Spiral something to race with...

Facebook in Talks to Take More Space at Manhattan's Hudson Yards

By Noah Buhayar and Natalie Wong
August 7, 2019

Quote:
Facebook Inc. is in talks to take on a much bigger lease at Manhattan’s Hudson Yards, giving the social media company space across three buildings at the $25 billion mega-project, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

The deal could involve some 1.5 million square feet (139,000 square meters), about 50% more than was previously reported, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing the private negotiations. While much of the space would be at 50 Hudson Yards -- a 2.9 million-square-foot tower being built by Related Cos. and Oxford Properties Group -- Facebook is also looking at 30 Hudson Yards and 55 Hudson Yards, the people said.

Great news regarding Facebook zoning in on so much space in the Hudson Yards area, whether it's all in one tower or spread out!

This chart (posted by NYGuy in the One Vanderbilt thread) says that 30 HY and 55 HY are fully leased, so not sure if Facebook is looking at these buildings.

Plenty of room in 50 and 66 HY, though (2 million sf each):

Or maybe Facebook is considering space in Phase 2?

Would be nice to kick off the next phase with yet a another office supertall. If they really need 1.8 million sq. ft., they'll need a new tower.

There is only one office tower proposed for Phase 2, which seems to be the only one around supertall status... the rest seem to be residential between 400-800 ft.

I noticed that also. But Related did something before to allow one of those companies more space in an otherwise already full building. 30 Hudson isn't really a "leased" building, although Time Warner recently sold it's portion back to Related.
