There are conflicting numbers. The CTBUH and the SkyscraperPage diagram both say 981 feet.

It's super blocky and bulky to me, right next to other bulky towers of a similar height. Not the best place for it, in my view.

This is a bit of a sarcastic question but have you ever been to Manhattan? Like seriously why is everyone acting brand new. The building is blocky yes just like every class A modern office building for big companies. That’s just the way it is.

This one is looking close to completion, and can start to see office buildouts getting pretty close on those lower floors.

Anyone know if Lord Foster visited this one while he was in town?

Nice shot showing the mass of curtainwall on Hudson Yards.

Fun Fact: Depending on what report you read, the global curtainwall market size was around $48 billion in 2019, and is projected to reach $72 billion by 2027. Either way, curtainwall continues to be the Facade of choice on many buildings.

Went up to the Edge on Tuesday, I actually like this better than the Spiral tower - big and boxy but higher quality materials and nice details.

It is a very high quality building, even if it’s not sexy on the skyline.

sounds like this tower's biggest tenant is having second thoughts.

Facebook Parent Meta, Amazon Pull Back on NYC Office Expansions

The company is also pausing plans to further build out its new offices in Hudson Yards as it evaluates what to do with the space, said the people, who asked not to be named discussing private information.
only mentioning the Farley building here... Facebook previously committed to 1.2 million square feet of offices in 50 Hudson Yards alone, with smaller leases at 30 Hudson Yards and 55 Hudson Yards. Its original commitment was at the Farley Building, but the size of the lease in this tower implies it was meant to be their main offices.

Quote:
Meta spokesperson Jamila Reeves said the company remains firmly committed to New York and is looking forward to opening the Farley Building near Pennsylvania Station in the coming months.

The Farley lease is small compared to the space at 50. Even if downgraded at 50, it would still likely be more space.

Hudson Yards new office tower booming with new signings despite tough market

By Steve Cuozzo
August 14, 2022

Quote:
You’d never know it from some recent bad publicity, but Related Companies’ Hudson Yards is on a roll. If you’re surprised to hear that, the proof is in the enduring and growing strength of the office towers.

For all its glamorous shops, restaurants and performing arts programs, Hudson Yards is first and foremost an office complex, with four huge towers comprising 8.6 million square feet. Although privately-held Related, led by chairman Stephen M. Ross, is shy about sharing data, several brokers helped us to estimate that all the expensive office space is about 95% leased or sold.
Quote:
At the newest tower, 50 Hudson Yards, which opens later this year, a bunch of large deals recently closed that totaled a whopping 285,000 square feet in a sluggish market.

The new space commitments bring the tower to around 84% leased. The most impressive is a new lease of 95,000 square feet for Vista Equity Partners. Asking rents for the remaining available space are in the $175-$240-per-square-foot range, brokers said.

The complex’s largest tenants and commercial condo owners include Meta, Warner Bros., BlackRock, Discovery, Tapestry, Wells Fargo, L’Oreal and Point 72. Most employees are at their desks, too. Although Related doesn’t say so for the record, sources tell us that physical office occupancy at the site is up to about 60% compared with the Manhattan average between 40% and 43%.
