Question A cold jaunt in Winnipeg.

I took these Sunday night. It seemed that no matter which direction I was walking, the wind was blowing in my face.
Also this is my first post, so don't be cruel.

I believe a water main broke on this street next to my apartment. You can see the Legislature Building back there too.

Fort Rouge Park is rather moist.

Ah the delightful Parkette Grocery. I believe it might be a bodega.

Fenced in area!!!

Some river side apartments.

On to the Donald Street Bridge.

The ice is breaking up on the Assiniboine(finally).

Little bit closer, looking towards Osborne.

Looking down Assiniboine Ave from above.

On Broadway.

Miniature Canadian flags for all!

Protecting the Golden Boy.

Heading back to Osborne Village. Used the railing en lieu of a tripod.

A well maintained river walkway.

Looking back at Donald Street. This was the end of the ice on the Assiniboine.

More apartments.

The other riverbank, equally well maintained.

Almost home!

There were too many drug dealers on the corner to take anymore pictures, plus my hands were frozen at this point. That's it for now. Perhaps I'll do another longer walk once it warms up a bit.
Also, all your smileys are belong to me!

Nighttime shots of River Avenue, the Midtown and Osborne Bridges reminds me of nights walking home drunk. Very nice.

Thanks for the positive feedback, guys!
I think I'll just bump this thread with pictures in the future instead of starting new ones. Actually, I'll start right now!

These are from the really foggy night last week-ish.

You can see my car on the other side of the street.

The Lonsdale on New Year's Day. It was a long night. Finally got to bed after this picture was taken at about 10 AM.

Also on New Year's morning. A lot of snow!

After a fire burnt a house down on River. Saw the smoke rising from my apartment window.

Welcome aboard. Nice first thread. The 10th shot (the frozen river) almost looks like a slushy street. I didn't realize Winnipeg had that many hi-rise apartment buildings. The foggy pics are spooky. And too much snow in that one pic. Nice to see the Peg on here (and twice in one week), thanks.
