Garden City (1 mile away from downtown Boise) project progress. Images from Sawtooth:

the 18-story residential project is slated to go in just left of the crane in the second shot. there are multiple other proposals for that same area between 4 and 7 floors.

nice update!

that 11th street corridor is going to transform dramatically if all of the proposals are built. in a 4-block stretch, we could see:
  • 8-floor Hotel Renegade
  • 26-floor 11th Street apartments
  • 16-floor dual-brand hotel
  • 20-floor YMCA
  • 34-floor rumored apartments on Front and 11th

and a block away is the 8 (or 9) floor Saratoga under construction.

even with all of that, there are still a few empty lots that are begging for development.

a couple of new proposals.

1 - new residential proposal on the south side of downtown on River Street:

2 - expansion of the New Path housing in the West End of downtown. The small brown/white building on the right already exists.

the property for the Saratoga apartments has been cleared, and there's heavy machinery on the lot. looks like construction will begin soon.

a couple of renderings, the first from the Grove Street entrance:

another from the same side, but showing the street improvements that should happen concurrently with construction of the building:

according to Boisedev.com, the 13-floor ICCU Plaza building (and attached 9-floor apartment building) that was put on hold last year is now back on again, and is scheduled to start construction this Spring.

two apartment buildings approved on south Capitol across from the Boise State campus. this area has a number of additional 5-6 floor developments either completed or underway.

Thanks Sawtooth

Cottonwood found this great aerial of all of the projects happening along 11th street, including Hotel Renegage, the Saratoga, 12th and Idaho, and upgrades to 11th itself. The dual-brand hotel and YMCA projects will add even more density to this area.

this proposal on 11th and River has been approved, with construction slated to begin later this year and completion in 2024.

also approved last night was the Vista Point neighborhood in south Boise which will add hundreds of homes to a currently vacant plot.

this is a good one.

a few more cranes should be added to this shot soon. the Saratoga crane will probably rise soon, and the dual-brand hotel and other Lusk street projects should all have cranes.

too bad the Ovation and ICCU buildings aren't underway. the east side needs more cranes.

how about a new tallest?

found this proposal on link . there were rumors of a 34 floor proposal on this site, but this shows as having 40 floors.

a few images showing the construction on the west side.

there will be a lot more construction further behind these cranes if all of the west side residential projects get going.
