It's also apparently an (old) form of urban illumination although I find it funny mostly because of all the FF14 moon references for the upcoming expansion.

From the connector, this block of buildings looks great in front of the BOA tower.

It's too bad they shortened it from the original design. It wasn't going to be much taller, but those extra few floors would have at least broken up the flat plane there. It's a bit weird to have so many buildings bunched together that are exactly the same height.

Cities like Paris would disagree.

What are these oddly spaced and haphazardly placed bars over the windows? Is it some type of ode to GA Tech gold/yellow? Looks like some type of "packing" or bracing that wasn't removed after the instal. Was drug use or required to pick out the "pattern"?

It looks to be simply a design choice (not that anything about the overall design is 'simple'). If you don't like it, it means you just aren't hip.

Site finishing work and looking good. Looks like Norfolk Southern will be moving to ATL soon. Are they also moving the regional??? office on Peachtree next to the High?

Indeed they are. That was the impetus for Cousins repositioning 1200 Peachtree St. NE (former NS regional HQ) into a multi-tenant office building for new users (https://whatnowatlanta.com/rendering...fice-building/)
