I walked by earlier today, and they’ve removed the protective wrap from one of the ‘boxes’ on the Howe St side. Sadly, my phone battery was dead, so no photo...but I’ll try to get back later.

The exterior of the box is similar to a stainless steel appliance, except a bit darker grey, and slightly less shiny (though it’s a really dark day, so possibly quite different in sunlight). The interior of the box is shiny copper like the material they have on the signage at the corner of Howe/Pacific.

I know this is what was expected, so just confirming no sign of last-minute value engineering.

Thanks!

The panels are a lot lighter in colour than I expected.
But it looks like it'll stay clean!

Pretty well hit the nail on the head:

Oh wow the detail is even better than I expected.

They kept the bronzy/gold!

That's going to be a spectacular detail when looking up at the building.

It's nice to see a project turn out the way it's expected to, so far.

Mr. Bjarke Ingels and his team will be proud of this project. I would imagine he would be at the opening ceremony. I'll try and be there for that.

From 41st floor of The Mark. Not my picture, but must be fairly recent.

That's a neat angle - its crazy wide from that view. Which makes sense, particular for the bottom.

I just wish they can clean up that dump of a neighbourhood, especially the areas around the bridge and ramps. Always filthy!

I'm pretty sure having the ultra luxury of Grosvenor, Vancouver house, and future developments in the soon to be gone loops will revitalize this neighborhood just fine.

If you are taking some update pics of Vancouver House don't forget about the two developments right beside it in the two bridge offramp "triangles" thanks!

Are they part of this dev or separate, I can't remember.. Same developer? Same development permit?
