Molson just described every greasy spoon owner in Canada. Why do Greeks control this industry? (They were a big part of the convoy crowd.)

Really? Seems to me the franchise is pricey enough for what it is, I'd tell the corporation to pound sand with their mandatory donations on top.

Super pricey but super lucrative too I suppose.

You pay the price of admission or you are excluded from the show.

George came from Parc Extension. His family had no money whatsoever, and he worked his way up from burger flipper to head manager, then to district manager/consultant. His wife had a few bucks. He was the first McDonald's employee in Canada to be awarded a McDonald's franchise (Beaconsfield). That store was a gold mine. A decade later, he bought Dorval. Then Kirkland. Then Ste Anne de Bellevue (which ended up closing).

He retired a considerably wealthy man, well into 7 figures net worth.

I would put you on my list, even though you post once in a blue moon.

Also a lot of forumers who have took off from the forum.

I guess I could get along with Proof Sheet, Horus, Wigs, Gresto, ScreamingViking, Signal, O-Tacular, Aux-Town, Norman Bates, Molson (whom I've met) and esquire... and maybe Acajack and Lio if they were nice.

(oscar music cues)

Ahh screw it I love you all.

It's true that a number of forum members don't post much anymore. That seems to be the trend on many forums. Twitter bitter and that newfangled TikTok are more popular.

I assume I should be honoured that you 'guess' you could get along with me.

Yeah, I don't venture out of the Ottawa sub very often. But, I will accept the compliment

People do move on to other things, that's normal. Not as many people find their way into forums to replace them these days, though.

If I named rousseau, would it mean I’d automatically get suspended right now?

(We’ve already seen a few cases of Liojack being on record with stuff that the other half has never said, or even agrees with )

harls, you have always seemed like an affable bloke, which puts you in my good books. The same goes for Nouvellecosse, and I'm sure there are multitudinous others I can't specify by virtue of my not posting much anymore. Regardless of politics, I can get along with anyone who isn't a jerk, troll, or blinkered city booster.

What happened to Molson? Haven't seen him around for some time.

He’s been taking a break I think enjoying time away from jerks and trolls. Posted in the Ugly thread yesterday though.

Now I will think of you as British because of this post, never did before. I will put you into the Proof Sheet column now.
