It wasn't redesigned for the 300' height upzoning during its hiatus. It's the same:

I do like the shape of this one. I count eleven different roof levels across the whole thing, which will provide a more interesting shape than most of the WC towers seem to have.

Are those cutbacks due to some sort of code?

All these buildings need is a brick or stone facade, and it'd fit right in in D.C. or Brooklyn. Hopefully we'll start seeing better stuff in West Campus over time, although I suppose it will only come as prices continue to go up...

The setbacks were required before UNO was amended in 2019. They were meant to ensure the sidewalk would see sunlight each day of the year, or something like that.

Surprised they didn't take advantage of their increased entitlements granted in '19. Guess they felt they were too far along with design/permits to mess with it.

I went to the University Co-Op today and to my dismay there was a lot of construction going in this area. Some streets were completely closed and had to navigate around the narrow streets avoiding hitting students crossing the road. I drove by a new Starbucks and many new residential buildings. The Co-Op back lot still has Cooper on it and still waiting to see what they will turn this parking lot into.

Coop Back Lot is disappointingly being turned into another parking lot, supposedly for employee parking. Apparently Coop was tired of being a landlord for the food trucks, so they kicked them out to make another parking lot as if they don't have a big parking garage across the street already.
