This one seems like it has gone up so quick. Nice to also see a mid-rise that isn't just the typical square block or rectangular shape.

Looks like they've started leasing for the Fall and have added an update on their Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/CqDgPNigeho/?hl=en

Yea what about great streets? Aren’t they required to put in trees.

They may *technically be trees....

My question is whether there is a height minimum (or truck diameter minimum) for trees that are planted as part of the Great Streets program. Anyone know? I'm not motivated enough to look it up, haha....

Great Streets only exists as an one of options that developers can use to get a Density Bonus for CBD zoning.

There are standards for minimum caliper and species for Great Streets, but UNO is outside of the Great Streets boundary. It has its own standards that are not as high quality as Great Streets. The main culprits in the photo are the overhead power lines. Austin Energy has restrictions on the size and species of 'Utility Compatible Trees' that are mostly ornamental large shrubs, not shade trees. There should be a requirement for all new development to underground utilities adjacent to their site, and a corresponding incentive program from the City to help offset the cost to smaller projects and affordable housing.
