Just saw this thread now

A germaphobe’s wet dream.

I have an idea, just don’t leave home and encase yourself in a plastic airtight bubble. Then you will never encounter any microbes ever again!!!

I suggest double your mask for your safety and sit one seat apart if possible. Public Transport should be given attention during this pandemic as this can be a source of new covid cases.

Are you riding public transport? Do you have any idea how you caught COVID?

Nice video and very informative on how COVID spreads. I hope everyone here will take time to watch this. In connection to my concern, seats are being occupied by anyone. Rails are being touched by anyone. We bumped on different person everyday. These are the risk we faced every time. So, how do we address this issues aside from wearing of mask?

You get vaccinated and then you get on with your life and stop worrying about outcomes that are statistically miniscule. That is, if you follow the science.

mmm nope.

you can still get sick from it, you can still need medical attention, you can still get long covid and you can still spread it. if you follow the science. meanwhile, the unvaxxed continue to prolong the disease. or if nothing else, its affecting insurance rates and your wallet every day. so its not like we all just get vaxxed, mask up and dont worry about it anymore.

Yes, I ride public transit, but wasn't at the time I was infected. We were totally remote work then.

Anyway I was in contact with someone that tested positive. I tested positive a few days later.

No doubt. Agree 100%. The science clearly states this. But it also states that the probability of any such outcome is miniscule enough to not warrant extreme precaution. Granted everyone is free to make their own decisions on risk, but let's be honest about it. The risk is very low if you are otherwise healthy + vaccinated, likely lower than other actions you take and don't think twice about.
