Didn't know the name/address of that one. It always reminded me of a Chinese communist highrise. As bland and soulless as it gets.

This site used to be a nice 3 story building, which was knocked down over 4.5 years ago. The site has been a vacant lot ever since then

Random question. Does the Reid Murdoch expansion, 330 n. Clark I believe, still have a pulse or was that pronounced dead?

As long as the Rug Company still has a lease, I wouldn't hold your breath on that one...

^ 145 N Damen and 1528 N Wells St have construction permits. Haven't passed by them to see if they've broken ground. Harper Court Phase II is breaking ground in a few weeks

Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 6:00

Quote:
Dear Neighbors,

I am co-hosting a community meeting regarding development proposed by Fern Hill Company for a collection of parcels in the vicinity of LaSalle Drive and North Avenue. This is a continuation of the conversation started in September of 2021. Since that time, Fern Hill has collected thousands of comments on their website from nearby residents, all of which can be viewed by anyone at https://www.engagefernhill.com/.

Please join us via Zoom on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 6:00 pm to listen to Fern Hill share their general vision for these parcels. Click here to register for the Zoom webinar.

Very excited to see the reveal of David Adjaye's designs for those parcels in Old Town. Feels like the development of those parcels will do a lot to enhance the connectivity between the Gold Coast, Old Town and Lincoln Park. Also terrific to see that the hotel on Wells is finally starting construction.

Speaking of Fern Hill, has anyone heard anything about 23 S. Sangamon recently? I really liked the massing and scale of that proposal for the site.

If it's anything taller than two stories the local NIMBYs are gonna fling their own poop at the zoom screen. Can't. Wait.
