I've had Popeyes once, and it was alright. I though the Big Mary was better.
I have to agree, I had Popeyes in Toronto & at the Florida Mall in Orlando, Its no comparison to Mary Browns, it was dried out, not fresh tasting at all.

A lot of places to open first.. Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, a lot of large cities in Ontario, Quebec, etc., Halifax...

Not sure what they're going to do in BC.. and how the franchise agreement is set up. We have 1 location here but it's operated by the US franchisee who operates locations in WA and OR states.

Ron.

Krispy Kreme

[QUOTE=Arrakis;10154648]I wonder if Krispy Kreme will open up here in their nation-wide expansion plans.

Read back in 2022 that Halifax was being scouted as new location for Krispy Kreme.

https://surge105.ca/2022/08/22/halif...take-my-money/

Can see it opening here....eventually. Will have to take off in bigger centers first. St. John's will get a location a couple years after Halifax. For the same reason I expect Popeye's Chicken and IHOP to announce locations here soon after establishing themselves in Atlantic Canada already. If they're doing well....

And yet, still no McDonald’s downtown.

We must be the only downtown in the world without a McDonald’s

Even wilder that there isn't one with walking distance of Memorial University now that McEsso on Elizabeth Ave. closed up a couple months ago!

New Restaurant?

I hadn't heard of this until I happened upon a job listing on Indeed, which led to a Google search...Rabble Restaurant
