Yeah, wow. I don't think I've ever described a six storey apartment building as huge before, but this one is.

That building is even bigger in real life. Its a shame it fronts a back lane on both sides.

Totally, that stretch is crying out for housing. Good potential for a node with the transit connections and the amenities.

In this situation (probably too late for this example), is it possible to create a street out of a back lane? Build a sidewalk with CRUs and other streetscaping to attract pedestrians?

Good street is actually a street. Vike is just poking at the fact that it really feels like a lane because it serves as the lane for Colony

Yeah, it's one of those one-sided streets that exist here and there in the city. (Roy Ave in Weston and Herbert Ave in Elmwood being other examples.)

I noticed there’s a new independent convenience store where the Mac’s used to be on Central Park. Nice to see something replace it. Was a big hole.

Any news on 632 Portage Avenue?

The lot has some new signs up, but just generic stuff for the developer (PPP), not project specific.

I think you mean 634 Portage ave.
Sketches & illustration are on here..20 floor 215 feet residential rentals with a 5 floor podium with 4 level parkade and some townhouse styled rentals in it.
I restaurant & a few CRU"s as well facing Portage.
