A development site that has been off and on for years with Vornado, renderings have slowly begun to leak out for this tower that would be built just east of 1 Penn Plaza.

another obvious Foster. I get that he's a safe go-to, but I hope he switches up the status quo. This is basically the same design as 350 Park. I'm not a fan of that crown. Too much vanity height in front of the King. A flat roofline would be fine for this design IMO.

If the crown were just an antenna adding no height, then you would be for it? I find the crown to be the best part of the design, which its basically an extension of. I think it's time the city started building more standout crowns. I don't care about whether or not there is extra height to be gained from it. The top of the 15 Penn design is just awful as it is.

I'm mostly not a fan of how it looks here. It comes across to me as unfinished looking, which is something I hate in architecture. Kind of like 1 WTC's spire, but there's four masts instead of one. If an unoccupied architectural element is tall I don't mind as long as it looks great, which admittedly is subjective. I don't think this looks good at all.

And yet we still don't have a full reveal for 270 Park. Come on Chase, release it already. Unless of course, it's just not done.

Hate is a strong word but...

And that design for 15 Penn which will never actually be decorated with full size trees just reads to me like an image that people would say "wow they dodged a bullet" 40 years from now.

I think similar towers will rise within the Penn Station district in the years to come.

I'm hoping the development district exceeds Hudson Yards in scale. Arguably one of the best locations for office in the city (or country for that matter), along with the PATH downtown and near Grand Central.

I'd wager big on Midtown South. I think that is the forefront of future development alongside the West Side.

The Penn Station district plan was a thing before even the Hudson Yards development plan. At one time it also included 2 supertall towers over the site of MSG, a massive redevelopment of the area. We are still waiting for Cuomo's new plan for the redevelopment of the area, which will be similar in scale. Also, expect the Macy's tower to fold into it, as a comprehensive redevelopment of the area on a scale of Midtown East, as it should be.

^ It also beings to mind a few other towers that I can't pinpoint at the moment.

Remove the bulky 15 Penn, and this tower works surprisingly well with the ESB.

We will have almost 10 supertalls above 400m but no signe of megatall. i wish that midtown will be home of megatall

Sky88, what's the second photo in your rendering? That looks amazing.

The trees and open space is cool on the other one but it's ugly overall, not gonna lie.
